Bit of a purple theme going on, here…

Sometimes you make things as gifts and, in retrospect, you wish you’d kept it for yourself as it was soooo lovely.

I can’t remember if the original Burda pattern was reversible (but I suspect not); however, ahead I steamed anyway – navy fleece on one side, purple flecked wool jersey on the other, rolling the fleece over the edge of the wool to bind the edges.

The huge button is actually a brooch; this way it can be worn regardless of which fabric was uppermost. Clever, huh?
